Johana Sand, who has been our primary on-staff financial manager, will be transitioning to a new role.   One of her primary goals in her new role will be to help LGA find a new authorizer by June 30, 2011. The Minnesota Department of Education has created a very complicated process for organizations to be approved to authorize charter schools and for charter schools to find appropriate authorizers. Johana has a vast amount of experience helping schools obtain authorizers and is the ideal candidate to head this effort.  In addition, Johana will be spearheading Lionsgate’s fundraising campaign.

Lionsgate’s financial needs continue to grow and we have hired Dave Reinke as our part-time, on-site business manager. Dave is coming to Lionsgate with significant financial experience and we are excited to have him on staff.
