Volunteers play an important role in the success of Lionsgate Adademy. While the school does not require parents or other family members to volunteer their talents to the school, other charter schools typically receive an average of approximately four hours per month of volunteer help for each student enrolled.
Volunteering may occur in many areas; lunch, committees, field trips and social events. Parents are encouraged to create social opportunities outside of school for their student together with other parents and their student to create friendships and improve student social skills. Activities may include eating out at a restaurant, going to events around the Twin Cities, visiting museums; anything parents want their son or daughter to experience with other students.
