Lionsgate Academy’s Executive Director, Stan Hacker, responded to the article in the Feburary 2nd edition of the Star Tribune about charter schools in Minnesota closing. The article focused on a state law that mandates the closing of charter school if they do not have an authorizer before the end of June.
Mr. Hacker announced that Lionsgate has been accepted by a new authorizer, Novation Education Opportunity, for the upcoming year. “They’re impressed with our organization, so they have accepted, and they will confirm at their board meeting on the 16th of February that they want to be our authorizer,” said Mr. Hacker.
