Lionsgate Academy formed its first ever sports team (a soccer squad) to play once, a scrimmage against Groves Academy in St. Louis Park. Some students on the LGA team have never played the game and most must overcome communication deficits that people on the autism spectrum face every day. The Beautiful Game chronicles the team from its inception to its only chance to play against another squad. Win or lose, the team taking the pitch is a victory.
